Who Are the Friends?
We are the Friends of the Joshua Hyde Public Library in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. The Friends were incorporated in 1985 to raise funds for the expansion of the Library building. We continue to support the Library in its outreach to the community, through not only books, but newer technology, allowing greater access to information and entertainment for all members of the public. The Friends organize the annual book sales and other activities to raise funds. We also provide a greater commodity to our library – you the volunteers – who give time, know-how, hard work and creativity (as well as a ton of used books!) to all our endeavors. Thank You!
